    Our latest news and stories

Partnerships for Wellbeing has been working with individuals and communities across the Highlands since 2004.

We enable people to make a difference in their own communities. Our small team of part-time staff works with almost 200 amazing volunteers to deliver a range of services and events.

We’re probably best known for our community transport service and our group health walks, but we’re always looking for new ways to help people enjoy life to the full. Click on the video below to see what we got up to in the past year.

Our Projects

  • Helping you with transport in Inverness

Register with PFW and book your transport to health care and day-care appointments in Inverness. Our wheelchair accessible cars and minibus are driven by our valued volunteer drivers who make sure you get safely to your destination. Our flat rate fare of £5 per journey (£8 return) goes towards our fuel and maintenance costs.

  • Join a Highland Health Walk

We support more than a dozen weekly group health walks acorss the inner Moray Firth area. They are free to join and each is led by our safety-trained walk leaders. New walkers are always welcome.

  • Volunteer with us

We have almost 200 valued volunteers supporting our range of services. We always need more drivers, walk leaders and folk to act as escorts on our minibus outings. You’ll get full training and you can offer us just a few hours a week or more if you have the time.

  • The Friendship Bus

We organise free outings for older adults. They’ll involve journeys of under an hour and there’s usually an afternoon tea included.

  • Cheery Book Club

We run a monthly book club in the Highland capital! A friendly, welcoming session for everyone! We now meet at The Waterfront on Huntly Street on the first Monday of each month.

  • Events & Festivals

We organise special events to support health and wellbeing. We take part in Book Week Scotland and work with 30 other walking and cycling groups on the new Inverness Festival of Walking & Wheeling.

I am so grateful for the help that my drivers give me. I couldn’t manage to get from my house to the car without their arm for support, they never rush me’
